The beauty of gouache is that it be handled almost like transparent watercolor, a combination of both thin and thick, and then opaque. Very versatile, fast drying medium. As I've said, I look at the old examples of hundreds of jobs, in some awe and wonder at how it all got done. And the standard was kept pretty high. Well....time catches up.... now hurtin' with a bad back for a the past couple of months. No fun. Again, thanks to all....and especially the gentleman from Canada who started 'Today's Inspiration'. What an education for thousands who appreciate and have an interest in illustration!Charlie Allennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18907156.post-19204668943969220092010-04-30T09:29:19.343-04:002010-04-30T09:29:19.343-04:00Applause!

Maggie and Jiggs, Reg'lar Fellers, Three Little Pigs. It makes perfect sense, those were the influences out there, I just never pulled it all together.Unca Jeffyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02292248615715408243noreply@blogger.com
