I’m smack in the middle of “The Black Stallion" and wondered that myself. Wondering too, if there was a relationship to the wonderful engraver/artist, Lynd Ward. Deep similarities in style/feel.Claudianoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18907156.post-89521932519898560982020-01-12T10:00:08.031-05:002020-01-12T10:00:08.031-05:00Keith Ward painted an excellent portrait of me whe...Keith Ward painted an excellent portrait of me when I was 9, at the invitation of the other artist whom we actually hired to do it. Keith's version was much better, and artist #1, who picked me up after school in a 1962 Corvette convertible every day, encouraged us to buy his instead. We did that, and my parents then had him paint my 20 year old brother, also an excellent job. We both have these in our living rooms.prestonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09628978418395417488noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18907156.post-71026259481871904122019-09-18T22:05:01.269-04:002019-09-18T22:05:01.269-04:00I used to communicate with Keith Ward during the 1...I used to communicate with Keith Ward during the 1980's and I have a nice hand-written biography of Keith about when he started in illustration.
