Well now we have this great artist at last being recognised for the giant he was. If only he had lived to see the proper accolades which will surely, and rightly, come his way.Geoffnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18907156.post-51917478197167308432010-08-05T12:30:42.387-04:002010-08-05T12:30:42.387-04:00I remember his art from long ago. I didn't know it was well known and a valuable reference for marine painting. No doubt about it....he could dramatize an ocean scene better than any of the older marine oil painters. All in gouache. Not strong on figures....so did little fiction illustration.charlie Allennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18907156.post-21944583757765998892010-08-04T17:02:39.682-04:002010-08-04T17:02:39.682-04:00Thanks so much for paying tribute to Carl G Evers....Thanks so much for paying tribute to Carl G Evers.<br />Amazing painter, his little book of marine painting is the best.armandcabrerahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01772142818316748471noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18907156.post-29192842221104864062010-08-04T15:14:54.907-04:002010-08-04T15:14:54.907-04:00You know, this group is becoming waaay too knowled...You know, this group is becoming waaay too knowledgeable.
