Remember when we looked at Pete Hawley's Jantzen ads? Well I found another batch. Enjoy!
I've previously written about Pete Hawley's career. If you're interested in reading those posts, here are the links:

Pretty sexy stuff. Weird, but sexy.
ReplyDeleteLove the gorgeous gals -- and the goofy guys make me chuckle. What's up with the guy smokin' a pipe on the diving board!?! Wacky!
ReplyDeleteLeif, because of your constant coverage of Pete Hawley, he has unquestionably become one of my top five favorite illustrators of all time. And this new batch of Jantzens is like me stumbling upon a buried treasure. His work is fluid, natural, playful, colorfully juicy and DISTINCT! As usual--thanks.
ReplyDeletePatrick; Stay tuned - I'll have more weird sexy stuff all this week! ;^)
ReplyDeleteTerry; I think the idea was that the guy on the diving board is so distracted by that gorgeous gal in the Jantzen suit that he's forgotten to put down his pipe before diving in the pool!
ReplyDeleteLes; Thanks for letting me know my posts on Pete Hawley have so profoundly influenced you! I'm delighted to hear that you love PH's work as much as I do! :^)
ReplyDeleteThese girls project a very sexy playful attitude, without reverting to tedious cheesecake shots.
ReplyDeleteThe renderings are fine -- but the figures are creepy. They look like "pod people" to me, or sexy elves, or creatures out of Star Trek. Oh well, you can't please em all.

Love those!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful illustrations but that Jantzen script is TIGHT!
ReplyDeleteEver wonder why there were no Elizabeth Taylor dolls? They couldn't keep their legs together long enough to get them in a box. Well, they finally got the old tramp in one.

ReplyDeleteLooks like the guy in ad number 3 left a lasting impression on a young Jim Carrey...
