Are you reading this, Santa?

Wednesday, November 30, 2005

TI list member and good buddy René Milot alerted me to the current auction at The Illustration House. This because René likes to imagine me curled in the fetal position, shaking and sweating all over and muttering, "my precious...my precious" as I click through image after image of unatainable original art. Thanks buddy!

Anyway, in case Santa is reading this, hey Big Guy? Two words: "Lot 75".

After being so charmed by Al Parker's illustration, I just had to read the beginning of the story, which of course stops abruptl...
Normally I would reserve judgment yet after my short read and observation, I do have one criticism of the illustration. In the story the little girl is noted to be a less than attractive child, so much so that the writer goes on to mention, the only redeeming feature she had was her name. Virginia. Sorry, but Mr. Parker's depiction of the little red head is quite the opposite.

  2. Funny, as I was looking at all that was for auction at the illustration house: I distinctly heard a voice saying: ... my precious...! Maybe Fred at the Illustration House heard it and will tell Santa about you!
