The Dream House

In his book, Illustrator in America, Walt Reed says of Whitmore: Probably no other illustrator was so inventive over so long a time in doing variations on the theme of "boy meets girl".

What better example to prove that statement than this rather voyeuristic view Whitmore chose as his contribution to this story about a "dream house". Could the small pulled quote from the story be any less relevant to the visual? David peered at his wife. "You haven't, by any chance, come into some loot, have you?" Huh?

Coby Whitmore clearly decided to use this assignment as another opportunity to paint what he most loved to paint - a gorgeous woman in a sexually charged environment.

Dream house indeed!

  1. An assignment for an illustrator was a creative task. At school and art academy, students may find it boring to rewrite essays and do writing assignments. A research paper is an online task for https://essays.agency/research-paper-proposal.html semester ending with a practical (art illustration) project. But even when it's just an essay, it's theory of any art related course.
