James Dwyer is fantastic--although he seems to have a tendency to give his young boys the faces of beautiful women--especially in his "Take a boy hunting" piece. Still great art! Thanks for your flawless research and all-around digging Leif!

Great art. I love the whole portrayal of an America that never quite was.

His line quality and figure drawing are great. I think that the play back and forth between line and value add a lot of strength to the illustrations.

Thanks for your comments, gents! I hadn't really noticed that quality about Dwyer's renditions of young boys' faces... can't say it bothers me.
