Robert Baxter, Condensed

Last weekend, as I was driving up my street, I glanced over and saw a tidy stack of Reader's Digest Condensed Books sitting at the curb in front of a neighbour's house. Tucked in near the top, a hand-written sign said "FREE." Of course I grabbed them.

What you see below was in one of the 20 or so volumes. From "The Tower of Babel" by Morris A. West, RDCB, 1969.

These illustrations are by Robert Baxter, an artist previously unknown to me. A quick search on Google turned up a photo, a short bio and a wealth of Baxter's recent paintings! Click here to have a look.

  4. Blogs have a live-cycle of their own. I have watched a few appear and disappear, and in only a few cases any explanatory statement for the disappearance had been provided.

    C'est les blogs, probably.
    C'est la vie.

Today's Inspiration remains a priceless treasure though...
    Sigh...
